I can't get over how smooth this mono is. It is unlike anything else I've tried, even when kinked it it is not stubborn and rough at the crease. The color (pink, black, chartreuse) is also very nice and bright as a sighter section on a leader. It is too bad that I only use small sections of this material at a time, as I wish my whole leader was this kind of smooth.
The tri color does help with seeing your sighter in different lights on the river ...and it casting good too too bad they dont have tri color in 4x.
Used as a sighter
I build a lot of leaders for Euro Nymphing it only use Cortland products. They last forever, they're very strong. They do everything you want a leader to do.

I like the tricolor and fish the entire spool as the leader in 3X or 4X for a micro thin setup.
Didn’t like the black added. I couldn’t see it on the water. The continuity of colors didn’t flow for me. The black stoped my see-ability. I would have preferred yellow to be in place of black. When fishing, I need to SEE the whole sighter!
There is always a color that lights up in shade, sunlight or glare.
This leader material is exactly what I was hoping for. I've alread started to use it with my Tenkara level line

Simply brutal, the best indicator thread in the market. Very visible in low light conditions.
Very beneficial with the three colors to mark different depths in the water. I highly recommend this product from the beginning euro Nymph fisherman to the experienced.
The best by far . Extremely uv resistant and consistent strength.
Cortland has used my favorite color combinations to enhance the visability on the water! I recommend a good pair of sun glasses to lessen the glare on bright sunny days tho!
The short Black section between the Chartreuse and Pink sections provides easier detection in sunny or bright conditions.
Really liking this material seem to hold knots really well. I’m currently using the .012 as my leader straight from the fly line to a tippet ring. Takes some getting used to casting but I liking it.
This is the best sighted material on the market.
IMO, the Cortland, "Tri-color indicator mono" is the easiest sighter to see. Thank you Cortland
