Cleaning your fly line is very important especially when fishing saltwater. Simply pull line off your reel into a clean bucket or tub of freshwater. Put roughly 1oz or more of Cortland’s Line Cleaner solution onto a clean rag or towel. Firmly squeeze the towel with Pro Line Cleaner around the line and slowly pull line through the towel. You should be able to see dirt or discolored streaks on the towel when finished.

I’ve been fly fishing for 35 years and tried all the major brands. The 444 peach is simply the best fly line there is.

444 peach fly line

Just the best line I ever fished with. I fished with all the other major brands and the 444 peach beats them all. I hope cortland never stops making this fly line.

444 Peach is my favorite

I love the 444 Peach DT in 4, 5, and 6 weights for trout, and the 444 Peach WF in size 8 is great for freshwater bass with poppers, and streamers in shallow water.

444 is still a great fly line.

I started Flyfishing seriously about 50 years ago and 444 Peach was about the only fly line available, and it worked in all conditions. And It still does. To many folks go for the next new thing. I say you can’t go wrong with the same old thing.

444 Peach

4wt on a pink reel looks really nice and cast like a dream.

7wt was for the old school on a 1495 1/2 preforms well on an old Wright & McGill Trailmaster 444 brings the old rod to life.

The World's Best Fly Line

For me, it's the greatest fly line, period. I fish double taper lines with a bamboo fly rod, and nothing out performs the 444 on the small rivers and creeks in Wisconsin's Driftless area. I've used nothing but the Cortland 444 Peach for 30 years.
