Built using carbon fiber of military-grade modulus and resins, the Competition MKII Series Fly Rod was designed for Euro-style nymphing with input from more than 30 years of top-level competition experience from the Cortland Prostaff. The balance of the rod weight, main power in the butt section, and down-locking reel seat are all built around the demands of this technique.
An ergonomic cork composite fighting butt helps with weight distribution and control when landing larger fish, while over-sized light wire single foot guides allow easy passage of Euro nymphing lines, WF lines, and DT lines. Each rod includes a specific-size cloth rod sock and an optic orange rod case for easy location on the river bank.
