I use em' all the time.

Honestly I used to think that cleaning fly lines was just for people who didn't fish very much and had to kill time at home. Now, I realize that was dumb. I mostly fish intermediate lines on the great lakes and rivers. The plastic-y material will stop shooting well pretty quickly. A line stretch and running the line thru these pads putting it back on the reel has made a real improvement in everyday use.
